YEF looking for Youth Leaders!

The Youth Empowerment Fund is looking for high school youth to be a part of our YEF leadership programs!

YEF Advisory Board (YEFAB) has 12 Seats (positions) available

The position requires:

  • 1 academic year commitment (August-June) of up to 12 hours per month
  • youth live or go to school in SF
  • experience in working at a community organization, program or event as a youth participant or volunteer


YEF Board Members:

  • Learn about foundations, grants and San Francisco community organizations
  • Decide how to fund and support youth-led projects
  • Receive a monthly stipend

Youth Warriors Award & Fellowship-16 fellows awarded

The position requires

  • Youth live or go to school in SF
  • Have overcome personal obstacles and participated in creating positive change in the community
  • Youth to be nominated by an adult ally from a community-based organizations, schools, or other youth agency
  • Commitment of August 2014-April 2015


Youth Warrior Fellows

  • Explore issues affecting young people of San Francisco
  • Receive training on city and state government to facilitate YEF’s annual Youth Advocacy Day
  • Receive an award of up to $800 upon program completion
