YEF Workshop Announcement – Youth Organizin: What is it and why it matters?

The Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF) is committed to the leadership of young people by providing them with resources to define their own programming, practice leadership, and to bring sustainable community change. We know that this requires adult allies to have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for meaningful youth leadership to flourish.

We have partnered with Movement Strategy Center to provide workshops that aim to educate and support adult allies learn how to better engage youth develop their own voices, their own solutions to community issues, and lead meaningful actions that create real impact. This training is the first in a series of 3 workshops on the topic of youth organizing and empowerment.

Workshop Description:
This workshop will provide a brief overview of the history and context of youth organizing in California, a framework for understanding youth organizing principles and foundations, and a space to discuss how to implement these principles to strengthen your work and deepen your impact.
