San Francisco YouthWorks is Hiring for the 2013-2014 School Year Session!
“San Francisco YouthWorks is a unique high school internship program
designed to expose youth to public service careers and build job
readiness skills in a supportive environment. We offer paid internships
in city government ($10.55/hr) for interns work up to 10 hours a week of
during the 2013-2014 school year session (October 2013 through May 2014″).
2013-2014 School Year Session Program Eligibility Requirements:
–       Entering the 11th or 12th grade for the 2013-2014 school year
–       Have at least 110 credits. (If you have less than 110 credits
you must turn in a letter of recommendation for a counselor, teacher or
service provider.)
–       Live AND go to school in San Francisco
–       Be able to work at least 6 hours per week, Monday‹Friday
between 9:00am and 5:00pm
–       Commit to participate for the entire school year session
(October 2013 through May 2014)
–    Be able to present original documents to meet YouthWorks’
Required documents:
o     Social Security (must be original and signed)
o     Picture ID (CA ID, School ID, Passport, etc.)
o     Proof of Age (if ID does not list birth date)
o     Valid Permanent Residents / Alien Card (if applicable)
o     High School Transcripts
Applications Released: August 12, 2013
Application Deadline: September 12, 2013 before 5pm!
